The Syntech Spectras GC955 systems are the top of our line.
Most systems are built as a model 600 or 800.
But we have also more systems: the 100, 300, 400 and 500 for emission, workers heakth protection or process control applications. These 4 types are mainly built on order for special customer needs.
As they building blocks are standardized this is not especially expensive, below some special characteristics and application fields for these systems.
GC955 series 100
GC955 series 100 has a sampling loop and a packed column in an isothermal oven.
This system is used for measurements of higher concentrations. After separation the compounds are measured by an FID, a PID or aTCD detector.
GC955 series 300
GC955 series 300 has a sampling loop and a capillary column in an isothermal oven. The capillary column is applied for compounds with a higher boiling point. As detector an an FID, a PID or a TCDis used.
GC955 series 400
GC955 series 400 has a trapping system running at room temperature and a capillary column in an isothermal oven. It is used as variation of a system 600 if only a few compounds have to be measured. It can work with short cycle times in stable conditions.
GC955 series 500
GC955 series 500 has a sampling loop and a capillary column with a temperature programmed oven. It can be used if compounds with a wide range of boiling points have to be analysed at high concentration.
GC955 series 600
The GC955 600 is suitable for measurement of hydrocarbons in the ppt to ppb range.
It is made for the measurement of hydrocarbons in the boiling point range from 50 oC up to 250 oC.
GC955 series 600 has a trapping system running at room temperature and a capillary column in an temperature programmed oven.
We produce this model since 1998, for several very important applications. The detector is either a PID, an FID or a combination of both.
The capillary column is normally 15 or 30 m long.
The preconcentration trap will be filled with one of the standard absorbtion materials.
GC955 series 800
The Syntech Spectras GC955 800 is suitable for measurement of low boiling hydrocarbons in the ppt to ppb range.
It is made for the measurement of hydrocarbons in the boiling point range from -70 oC up to 50 oC.
To achieve good separation we choose capillary columns with strong separation capacities, with a stripper pre-column to remove higher boiling hydrocarbons.
The detector is either a PID, and FID or a combination of both.
GC955 series 800 has a Peltier cooled trapping system running at a temperature down to 5 oC or lower filled with a suitable strongly absorbing material.
In 2014 we have a new version for the cooling that enables to sample also with the trap running below 0 oC. The trapping of C2 compounds is then improved!
Good sample conditioning is essential for this new feature.
